Flames and CakesOnce upon a morning,
While lying in my lair,
I saw a swimming unicorn
Flying through the air.

Promptly was it followed
By a grungy balderdash,
And barely could I jump aside
To avoid its maddened dash.

Abruptly did the both of them
Halt just outside my perch,
And gleefully they screeched at me,
"At last! We've finished our search!"

A fiery light sprung to their eyes;
I let out a terrified squeak!
It hadn't finished echoing
When they shouted, "Silence, freak!"

Galloping forth, they snatched up each
Three of my arms and legs,
And determinedly, they grunted at me,
"We'll drag you to the dregs!"

They pulled and pressed,
And

A Place in Wonderland 'Wonderland exists'

She stared at the words scribbled onto the page, her mouth pursed in concentration. Her pencil gently tapped her lower lip as she rolled the words through her head again and again. Then she decided, and with but a single second's hesitation she erased the words and flipped her pencil to start anew.

'There is a place beyond the logical world that we all know and see every day. It is a place where dreams spring to life and animals talk readily back to you as if you have just walked into a fable. It is a place where fears are strong and horrors can still happen and blood can still be split. But it is also a place of joy,

The Hand of LoveLove lies lost and fallen
A fragile wind blown leaf
Golden in it's dying
I feel the hand of grief

Dark the cloak that covers
And bitter bonds that bind
Heart of desolation
Thou art the sourest wine

Yet in deepest sorrow
Light shining in the dark
The sweetest voice is calling
Unto it's sound I hark

Beauty in thy brokenness
Oh pure and gentle maid
All this I see and more
What heart could be afraid?

The past like falling leaves
Forgotten as I stand
Drawn to new horizons
By thy loving hand...

Endless LoveI crossed time's endless ocean
Sailed a river of pain
Lived a hundred lifetimes
To see thy face again

Call of love unceasing
The flame that never died
Memories unspoken
From myself I cannot hide

Eyes so long remembered
A touch from long ago
Echoes sweet as honey
Things this heart doth know

Love it reigns eternal
Blooms but with one kiss
My soul thou hath awakened
To love's unending bliss...

The storm-clock ticking fast
A song you've never heard

High-priestess from the past
Caring for gods' delight
Vow quietly pronounced
In temple of the night

I am a raven's claw
Spirit you'll hardly tame
A Vestal warrior
Healing wounds with a flame

Silent dove's crying eye
Hurts me more than a sword
Stars, mist and foliage
Build my eternal fort

In the old town of Venice
The sin was born
One man, in the moonlight,
Took a woman's soul

She got doomed
But it seemed fair
That one night with him
With nothing left to tear

Centuries have passed
Even the rain turned cold
The sin lived
In the other men's blood

He looked at me and said
"Be the flame not the moth"
He was hypnotizing,
But he's Casanova, he can't love.

He likes numbers
And I was 24
I gave my body to his arms
I used to cry back then, but not anymore

That one night,
I remember it well
The stars came down
With no words to tell

Because we were one
Under the endless sky
The morning you left
Every

My Masquerade~My Masquerade~

For the world I am displayed;
They always watch but cannot see
through my masquerade.

I feel every moment fly;
My heart is beating, pulse racing,
breath held as I lie.

My innocence I can't defend;
I know that surely this will linger
'til my very end.

I brought this all upon myself;
Mask upon mask, lie upon lie
like valueless wealth.

Dare I take these masks off – no!
My former self haunts me
everywhere I go.

False glory, false honor, false fame;
With all these masks I seem to have
forgotten my own name.

InspireYou will never stand on the horizon.
No matter how hard you try,
You will never soar unaided through the sky.

You will never touch the bottom,
Of the ocean with your own bare hands.
You will never see every sight of every land.

Now while this may be true, don't ever let it stop you
As long as you can dream it, you can achieve it

You gotta fight for what is right,
Gotta stand for what you believe.
You gotta keep your mind open and set your heart free...
Spread out your wings,
Reach into your soul...
Get ready, get set... Go

You will end up getting your heart broken
And you will end up hurt
You will feel like life is dragging yo

I See a FriendWhat do I see when I look at you?
I see a friend.

I see your eyes
Deep with knowledge,
Containing passion,
Full of love.

I hear your voice,
Strong with laughter,
Booming with pride,
Filled with determination.

I see the one I know I can be me around,
Can tell anything to,
Whose trust I can have,
And pain to share.

I look at you and see an ally.
A colleague.
A guardian.

But yet I know there's much I don't know.
Much you haven't, aren't and won't tell me,
Despite you saying that I know it all.
I know that I don't want to see all that's inside of you,
And I know that you don't want me to see it either.
But that doesn't matte

Children of the 90'sLook around you.
Look around us.
What do you see?
You must probably see people, plants, things, life, civilization,
Don't you?
I know I do.
But take a closer look at that.
Now what do you see?

Well I'll tell you what I see.
I see chaos, panic, and disorder.
I see hunger and starvation.
I see people dying of thirst.
I see numerous and countless diseases,
One of which may even be on me!

I see no future.
I see no money.
I see nothing that is affordable and I see no equality.
Who is to blame for this?
Us of course, but more specifically, those born before the 1990's.

A Friend I Used To KnowI used to have a friend that I loved most dear
And still I would do anything if it would keep her near
I used to know a girl for who I'd sacrifice my world
And still I would but she remains so indifferent and cold

We were once so close that I trusted her completely
Just like sisters whose lives slotted together so neatly
We were once so close that I could not believe my luck
Just like sisters though our friendship soon became unstuck

I miss her constantly but I guess it's time to let her go
Because though I want her friendship she just doesn't want to know
I miss her like a mother awaiting her child's return

that is very true! I live my life by a similar standard, a simple prose:

should one desire to find new lands, one must first consent to lose sight of the shore.

basically, it means that if you want to get somewhere new, and be something better, you first must go through hardship and loss, with little to nothing to support you. It may seem hopeless, but to those who try, even just that once, the rewards are always worth it

I agree! it is so simple and beautfil, and I like it because it doesn't make you feel all warm like a motivational card, but rather lets you know that life isn't always easy, but it is the challenge that makes us who we are
